RajaRajeswari Dental College & Hospital celebrated Sankranti/Pongal on 20 January 2026 with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour, reflecting the rich cultural spirit of the harvest festival.

The programme commenced with a Rangoli Competition from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM, where every department showcased their creativity through vibrant traditional designs, adding festive charm to the campus.

The Pongal Celebration was held from 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM in the Gallery Area, followed by an address by the respected Dean, who emphasized the significance of Sankranti as a festival of gratitude, prosperity, and unity.

A festive Lunch was arranged from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, providing an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to celebrate together.

The Cultural Programme was conducted from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the SLL Auditorium. The event featured enthusiastic participation from Postgraduates, Staff, First Year, Second Year, Third Year students, and Interns.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Rayade Lokesh (Intern), expressing sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, participants, and attendees for making the celebration a grand success.

The Sankranti celebration fostered cultural appreciation, teamwork, and institutional unity, making it a memorable and meaningful occasion for the entire college community.
